We, Franky and Coen travel time and again to the front areas in eastern Ukraine to help refugees, children and soldiers and provide them with free fries and snacks. Per day, we give away up to 2000 portions of fries.

We baked fries in places like: Kherson, Kramatorsk, Lyman, Mykolayiv, Kyiv, Irpin, Butcha, Borodyanka, Hostomel, Kharkiv, Izium, Dnipro, Zaparozha and many more.

Avdiïvka
We visited soldiers in Avdiïvka shortly before it was taken by the Russians. When we were there, 80% of the city had already been destroyed.

We survived a rocket attack:
We were involved in a heavy missile strike in Kramatorsk on June 27 in which 13 people were killed and more than 60 injured. In the Ria restaurant, an Iskander cruise missile struck! 13 people did not survive the attack and more like 60 people were injured. We were extremely lucky and only slightly injured. Unfortunately, several acquaintances of ours did die that day, including two girls aged 14 and a girl aged 17 and the waitress who served us that day. What happened there that day further strengthened our feelings to support Ukraine.

We help war victims in all kinds of ways. For example, with relief supplies, food packages and financial assistance. Evacuations from dangerous areas and with shelter

During our travels, we experienced a lot!

Webaked hundreds of thousands of portions of French fries and snacks and helped people whose homes had been bombed. We co-financed an operation room in Kyiv and we joined famous hero Denis Khrrystov for an evacuation action in Netailove 2 km from the zero line. We were also with medics transferring badly wounded (and deceased) soldiers from an armored vehicle into an ambulance a few kilometers from the zero line. What we saw there was appalling.

Orphans, wounded soldiers and the elderly:
Often we were at orphanages where children were particularly pleased with our visits, but we also heard the most tragic stories from children. At military hospitals we were allowed to bake for great heroes who were mostly badly wounded by shelling, mine blasts or drone attacks.

The "Frying Dutchmen" and "The Holland House"
In Ukraine, we started an NGO (foundation) under the name: "The Frying Dutchmen" and took over a former hotel in Dnipro. We call this "The Holland House". And here up to 70 people can live for free and safely. Our guests come from the most dangerous front locations, from where fleeing on their own is often no longer possible. The refugees are usually evacuated (with armored cars). They were often deprived of heating, electricity and running water for many months. They stay with us for up to 2 months and receive their own room, medical and psychological counseling and, of course, good meals. Together with them, we look for a permanent place to live.
